46th Annual Scottish-Irish Highland Festival from Longs Peak to Estes

Estes Park will come alive, once again, with sounds and smells. and sites that keep people coming back. The event includes one of the largest military exhibits in the United States, The Estes Park International Tattoo.

For three days, Estes Park will celebrate its nickname of “Celtic Capital of North America” ​​with the Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival. Music, food, demonstrations, crafts, all weekend long at Stanley Park Fairgrounds and Estes Park Events Complex.

WHAT THINGS/EVENTS WILL BE AT THE FESTIVAL?

MUSIC

The Estes Park International Tattoo on Friday evening September 9, 2022 and Saturday evening September 10, 2022 will be the highlights, taking place at the Stanley Park Fairgrounds Arena. The tattoos will feature the United States Military Bands and Pipe Bands, Canadian Bands, British Breas Band and Highland Dancers.

Throughout the weekend you’ll find plenty of Celtic and Irish bands, pipe bands and even the International Mountain Pipes Competition, Grades 4 and 3, and the Ceilidh Rock concert on Saturday nights.

STRONG MEN AND STRONG WOMEN CONTEST

Friday morning at 8 am, competitors from the men’s and women’s divisions will compete in feats of strength events.

DISC DOGS

One of the demonstration events of the festival will be a dog showing its agility with discs as well as shepherd herding.

PARADE

The annual parade through downtown Estes for the festival will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, leading up to that day’s official welcoming ceremonies at noon.

JOUSTS

At 2 p.m. each holiday, go to see the jousting battles, to immerse yourself in another era.

WHISKEY

As well as all the wonderful Scottish and Irish cuisine at the Scottish-Irish Highland Festival, there will be a Whiskey Tasting Tent open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2022.
