A three-day exhibition called “Ayurveda Parv” to focus on Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy is going on at the State Convention Center here.
The exhibition is organized by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) and will end tomorrow.
Organizers said the expo is open to the public and aims at proper utilization of Ayurvedic health care as well as coordination and better utilization of education, research and manufacturing of Ayurvedic medicines.
“We look forward to developing and promoting new medical treatment platforms through the exhibition, not just for these three days, but throughout the year and beyond, and it would meet the agenda and the ‘objective with which we launched the programme,’ ASSOCHAM– East & North Senior Director East Perminderjeet Kaur said.
She said the exhibition presents a platform to showcase and explore various health and wellness opportunities and provides access to information and knowledge related to AYUSH.
Informing that the Ministry of AYUSH supports the government’s initiative to promote medical tourism through “Ayurveda Parv”, the organizer said that Meghalaya and its neighboring regions, which are home to a diversity of medicinal plants, have the potential to become a pioneer in the study. , the production and consumption of natural goods and traditional medicines.
A business meeting is also held at the site with the aim of giving stakeholders a forum for networking and promoting Ayurveda. Free medical clinics for the general public and technical lectures for professionals are also included in the show.
The three main attractions are the herbal medicine exhibition and public lectures on health and Ayurveda.
