Greenfield Village officials recently toured the new wing of Adena Greenfield Medical Center (AGMC), which is due for completion next month.

It is a project that will provide better services to the community it serves, according to an update previously provided by AGMC administrator Josh McCoy at a city council meeting a few months ago. .

The expansion, located on the Sixth Street and Mirabeau Street sides of the property, will enable greater efficiency, technology upgrades that will positively impact care, additional clinical care space, under -additional specialty, additional parking and convenience and comfort with things like concierge service, an outdoor awning for weather protection and valet parking, McCoy previously said.

It’s something he says is exciting for the staff, but also for the community the hospital serves. Hospital growth will not only allow for more space and improved and expanded services, but will also likely have a positive impact on the local economy, as something like expanding a hospital brings people into the community. .

City Manager Todd Wilkin, along with Council Members Brenda Losey and Phil Clyburn, participated in the tour with McCoy, AGMC Specialty Clinic Director Kris Donley and Heather Wright with AGMC.

Provided everything stays on track with construction, a grand opening will take place in the coming months.
