International consulting firm North Highland has appointed a new global managing director. Alex Bombeck takes on the role after serving as Managing Director and Group President within the company.
North Highland is a global management consulting firm known for helping clients solve their most complex challenges of customer experience, performance improvement, technology and digital, and transformation. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, the American-born company has more than 2,800 consultants and more than 65 offices around the world. She is also a member of Cordence Worldwide, a global management consulting alliance.
As North Highland gears up for a busy 2022, its new CEO has taken office. Previously managing director and group chairman of the company, Alex Bombeck succeeded Dan Reardon, following his stint as executive chairman of the board – after spending 17 years as CEO.
Reardon said of his successor: “With the many roles Alex has held over the years at North Highland, he has shown he has what it takes to lead us in this ever-changing environment. His experience, his consulting expertise and the unique perspective he brings, give me complete confidence that he is the right choice to be CEO. He is a visionary leader who is also committed to helping our employees empower others to reach their full potential. “
Bombeck takes the helm as North Highland prepares to celebrate its 30th anniversary in April, while continuing to focus on helping clients transform and adapt to the post-pandemic world of work. To do this, Bombeck announced that the firm is strengthening its own flexible work offering, as it seeks to attract the best available talent to meet the needs of its clients.
Speaking about the company’s strategy, Bombeck said, “Our company approaches flexibility with intentionality. We create a framework that empowers the workforce and gives them the safeguards to achieve common business goals. We’ve always been the opposite of companies that are wired to do things a certain way. Thus, we are uniquely positioned to help clients find the right balance between adaptability and structure to keep up with the current climate of permanent transformation.
The new CEO comes to this role with over 25 years of experience helping companies transform their organizational and operational processes. Prior to joining North Highland, Bombeck held the position of Chief Digital Officer at Havas Worldwide and managerial positions in a number of other professional services companies.
Loretta Penn, Senior Director and Board Member for North Highland, added, “On behalf of the Board, I warmly welcome Alex to his new role. He does an outstanding job instilling high standards and a culture of collaboration and will lead North Highland as an exceptional transformational board that embraces diversity in all its forms. “
